Contact info: Please feel free to contact me with any questions, comments, or concerns.
I know it may be difficult to reach me during school hours, but email is the best way to contact me.

The BLOOMZ app is also a good way to reach me during the day. BLOOMZ will be my main form of communication.
Folders: Each child will need a plastic/vinyl folder that they will bring to and from school each day. There will
be important information, work, notes, etc. in that folder. Please make sure you check it every night and it comes back the next day. I will check it every morning for notes, lunch money, etc.
Transportation: It is important that you inform me of your child’s after school transportation before the first day of school. It is helpful to me if you can write your child's transportation schedule and place it in your child's folder if their schedule is different daily. For example, your child may ride the bus two days a week and get picked up three days.
After School Changes: Please call, email, or write a note in your child's folder if you child’s after school transportation is different from the normal routine. If I have not heard from you, your child will ride his/her regular bus. If there is a change of buses you will need to inform the office three days prior.
Snacks: We will be having a snack each day. Please send a HEALTHY snack for your child. Chips, cookies, candy. etc is discouraged. We would love any extra snack donations for kids who forget, or can't bring a snack. Individual, prepackaged snacks would be greatly appreciated.
Birthdays: We will celebrate each child’s birthday by making a book from the whole class. A new tradition we will be starting the year is the Birthday Book Shelf. Each child has the option to donate a book to the class on their birthday. They will be able to choose to read it to the class, or have me read it instead. Each book donated will be kept on the birthday book shelf for all kids to enjoy. In accordance with the district wellness policy, we will have one day per month designated to bring treats. Depending on how many birthdays we have in a month, I may ask you to provide juice boxes, napkins, etc.
Class Parties: We will have special celebrations throughout the school year. I will be using BLOOMZ to sign up for donations of supplies. I like to make a special treat and drink with the class in lieu of too many sweets. I would love any help you can give for celebrations.
Recess: The kids will be going outside for recess (weather permitting) every day. Please make sure they are
dressed appropriately for the weather. Please put your child’s name on all outerwear.
Behavior Management:
Respect
Ownership
Wise choices
These are the expectations for every child in order to have a learning environment where everyone feels safe. I use a positive reward system using craft sticks. For every five sticks earned, students get a ROW ticket. I will draw ROW tickets weekly for kids to choose from the treasure box.
Homework: We encourage your child to read for 20 minutes every night.
Money: No money should be brought to school unless it is for something specific like lunch money or pictures. Please place money in an envelope labeled with your child’s name, amount, and purpose. You can clip it in your child’s folder. I will check folders each morning as the kids arrive.
Absences: Please call the school when your child is ill or will be absent from school. The attendance number is
